Danil Morini born August 23, 1985 (Castelfranco Emilia - Modena) holds the drumsticks when he's 6 months old, at the age of 12 he will be reviewed as "italian promise".

 

 

His father passed on the drumming knowledge of masters Ubaldo Rivi and Enrico Lucchini (“I.N.S.J.” - National Institute of Jazz Studies) and of RhythmoSophy, his own ideation.

 

In 1995 the meeting with trilok Gurtu will mark a succession of the greatest of the world scene. (Schools – Seminars - Stages)

 

In 1999 he's in Parma Conservatory, he studies with Danilo Grassi and at the same time, with the musical experiences in Greece, he refined his drumming into the openness to musical genres, characterising himself in Jazz, Ethnic and Progressive music.

 

He din't play but studied... his constant study led him to teach since the age of 14.

 

In 2003 at the age of 18, he's on the stage of PercFest, the international percussion festival, he was called by Christian meyer and Ellade Bandini.

 

From 2004 to 2005 he collaborates with Mr.Pig recording the band's first album. During that year they play about 100 concerts.

 

In 2005 following the auditions, he will be called to collaborate as a session drummer in Vision Divine, he enters the studios for the recording of the new album, alongside Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius) who will say of him as the best drummer he ever collaborated with. The album climbs every rock chart around the world. He will then take part to the JAPAN TOUR in Tokyo and Osaka.

 

In 2006 the recording of the progressive discographical project with Andrea Braido (Laura Pausini, Lenny Kravitz, Randy Crawford...). The same year he's interviewed by "Drum Club" magazine (september edition). Shortly after in Sorrento, he will open Blues Brothers' concert.

 

 

In 2008 he records "Fresas con Vodka", debut album of Spanish singer Iskander. Distributed by Warner, the single will keep itself in the first place of every chart all over the central-south America, for many weeks

 

He's called to join the Vic Firth “PDT” Educational program and since 2008, he's a certificated teacher (vicfirth.com), other brands will follow with the same target.

 

Several international experiences, comparison with North European Jazz musicians of the scene, experiences from wich he draws many new stimuli. In 2010 on tour in the Czech Republic, he will share the stages of:

Muse, Skunk Anasie, The Prodigy.

 

To date he collaborates with national and international fame artists and musicians:

Amii Stewart, Alberto Camerini and among the others John De Leo (Stewart Copeland, Danilo Rea, Paolo Fresu), Felice del Gaudio, Andrea Braido and many other important musicians and artists of local scene.
